The 2025 Chevy Malibu is a mid-size sedan that’s as stylish outside as it is sophisticated and comfortable inside, and while this edition has plenty of bold features that separate it from the competition, these five are some of its most impressive.
1. Multi-Function Infotainment
The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System has everything needed to enhance drives, allowing you to pair phones to it wirelessly for streaming audio while also providing hands-free calling and texting, as well as multiple apps and other entertainment options. The interface is customizable, you can set up multiple user profiles, and a navigation function is available when you have an internet data plan. It also has teams with both audio systems offered (a standard 6-speaker one and an available 9-speaker Bose system).
2. Turbocharged 1.5-Liter Engine
The Malibu’s 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine’s smaller size provides excellent fuel efficiency while still delivering sporty performance thanks to its integrated turbocharger. With 163 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, this engine provides up to 28 MPG in cities and an estimated 36 MPG on highways for a combined city/highway mileage of 31 MPG. It also pairs with a continuously variable transmission, which optimizes engine output and also helps to save fuel.
3. The Chevrolet Safety Assist Suite
While multiple driver-assist features are offered, all models come with at least six standard features as part of the Chevrolet Safety Assist Suite. These include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Forward Collision Alert for hazards in your path, and the Following Distance Indicator to ensure you’re always distanced safely from other vehicles. There’s also IntelliBeam auto high-beam headlamps, and to reduce side collisions on multi-lane roads, there’s Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning.
4. Comfortable Seats with Bold Styles
Even the many seating options offered for this edition are bold, with seating fabric highlights like premium cloth in Jet Black or Medium Ash Gray and perforated leather-appointed upholstery in Dark Atmosphere with Light Wheat. The front seats are standard in the upscale 1LT and 2LT trim levels, and the 2LT trim has a ventilation function up front as well, and when you have cargo and passengers, the standard rear 60/40 split-folding bench seat is ready to accommodate both.
5. Fast 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot Capability
When you or your passengers need to connect to the internet with personal devices, you can easily do so with the included Wi-Fi modem. This modem creates a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot that can be accessed from anywhere within 50 feet of the vehicle by up to 10 devices when you have an OnStar subscription with a data plan. You can also manage this hotspot’s settings using either the vehicle’s infotainment touchscreen or the myChevrolet app on your phone.
