If you’re a Central Florida resident, you know the I-4 commute. It's a shared experience, a daily ritual of patience and planning. Whether you're heading from St. Cloud to an office downtown, from Kissimmee to the Lake Nona Medical City, or navigating the tourist traffic around the attractions, you’ve felt the frustration of watching your gas gauge drop in stop-and-go traffic. But what if that daily drive could be smarter, smoother, and completely free of gas stations? The upcoming 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV is set to redefine that daily journey for Orlando drivers. Here at AutoNation Chevrolet Airport, just a stone's throw from MCO on Lee Vista Blvd, we're already seeing the excitement build for a vehicle that feels tailor-made for our city's unique challenges. Say Goodbye to the Gas Pump, Hello to the Open Road Imagine this: you leave your home in Belle Isle with a full charge. You handle the morning rush on the 408, run errands in Edgewood, and head back home without ever thinking about the price of gas. With an impressive GM-estimated range of up to 319 miles on a full charge, the 2026 Equinox EV turns this into a reality. That's enough range to make multiple round trips from St. Cloud to downtown Orlando and back before needing to plug in. Technology That Tames the Traffic The I-4 crawl can be mentally draining, but the Equinox EV is packed with technology to ease the burden. The available Super Cruise™ hands-free driver assistance technology is a game-changer for congested Florida highways, allowing for hands-free driving on compatible roads. Inside, the cabin is your command center, centered around a massive 17.7-inch diagonal free-form display. It’s perfect for navigating around unexpected slowdowns on I-4 or simply enjoying your favorite podcast while the traffic inches along. Plus, with the MyChevrolet App, you can cool down the cabin before you even get in—a non-negotiable feature for those sweltering Orlando summer afternoons. Style and Space for the Florida Lifestyle From its sleek, futuristic lines to its spacious interior, the Equinox EV is designed for life in Central Florida. It has the cargo space for a family trip to New Smyrna Beach or for loading up gear for the kids' soccer tournament at Austin-Tindall Sports Complex. Its quick, smooth acceleration is perfect for confidently merging onto the 528, while its quiet ride creates a serene escape from the bustle outside.
